From the start!

When we first started our FTC (First Tech Challenge) team 9 years ago in 2016, we chose the name Pure Imagination based off of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (the 1971 movie). Sadly, that same afternoon, Gene Wilder passed away, so we have always kept that name in honor of him.

While we focus on all of the FIRST Core Values, our team has always put a special emphasis on fun and teamwork. Our main team goals as a team are to:

• push past the obstacles of having a team in a small town by going out of our way to secure proper funding

• educating our school and our statewide community about STEM and providing resources to aid in interest (focusing especially on the future generation)

• spreading the message of FIRST throughout the state, and into the world

• displaying Gracious Professionalism to all teams, and providing help to any team that would need assistance
